All going right for Swan Telecom

Following its $900 million deal with UAE’s Etisalat, Swan Telecom has now received a further boost. It has got the department of telecom’s nod to offer both national and international long distance (NLD & ILD) services, in addition to getting the government’s nod to operate as an Internet Service Provider (ISP) in India.

Etisalat acquires 45% in Swan Telecom

Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire approximately 45% of Swan Telecom Private Limited, a recently licensed mobile operator in India, by subscribing to newly issued shares for a cash consideration of up to $900m, implying a post-money equity value for 100% of the Company.
