India gearing up to launch 3D mobile games

3d mobile gamesThe 3D mobile gaming is poised to be the next big thing on the Indian gaming scene. While companies like Mauj Telecom and 7Seas Technologies are gearing up to launch a bouquet of 3D mobile games, others like Hungama Mobile are seriously considering entering this high-growth arena.

“3D mobile games and multi-player games on mobile are going to be the next trend in India and Indian companies are working towards this by relating the games with Bollywood celebrities. We recently signed an agreement with Bollywood actress Neetu Chandra for a 3D mobile game - Neetu The Alien Killer - which is slated for a release in early July. Besides, we have lined up four other games in racing, puzzle and action that are set to be launched next month through aggregators and retail distributors,” says L Maruti Sanker, managing director of Hyderabad-based 7Seas Technologies.

Endorsement offers continue to pour in for India spearhead Ishant Sharma and the beanpole pacer would soon feature in a mobile and an online game created around his performance.

The lanky speedster, playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the Kolkata Knight Riders, entered a tie-up with Jump Games and Zapak Digital Entertainment Ltd — gaming divisions of the Reliance Entertainment — which would see him feature in a mobile and an online game.

The mobile game, called Ishant Sharma Cricket Fever, features a 10-over match with the pacer bowling at other players.

Indiagames to bring Bioshock to mobile

IG Fun LLC, the international publishing arm of Indiagames Ltd has announced that it will bring BioShock, one of the most awarded PC & Console games in the history of gaming, on the mobile platform. This tie-up will give way to GameZone, India’s pioneering mobile gaming portal, which intends to offer a number of enjoyable and engrossing mobile games absolutely free of cost. TIL’s partnership with Hovr is to essentially shift the entire mobile gaming standard in the Indian marketplace by bringing users free mobile games with a business model that depends on mobile advertising.

Indiagames to bring Glu Mobile content to India
