Bytemobile now has Dedicated Sales Team in India
Bytemobile, Inc., the global leader in mobile internet solutions for network operators, today announced the appointments of Aman Khupsare as sales manager and Amaresh Sawant as sales engineer of the company’s new team in India. Based in Mumbai, Khupsare and Sawant are responsible for all new customer sales and management of existing Bytemobile accounts throughout India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
“India and the surrounding countries constitute one of the world’s fastest growing regions for the adoption and usage of mobile data,” said John Cole, Bytemobile vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific. “Our mission is to enable network operators throughout the region to deliver a rich, fast, safe open internet experience to their subscribers on any mobile device, from mass-market handsets to laptops. With solid track records in the Indian computer and telecommunications segments, Aman Khupsare and Amaresh Sawant will focus our sales and account management efforts with a local presence.”
According to industry sources, India currently has approximately 290 million mobile phones in service, representing 26% market penetration. Approximately six million new devices are being added each month, and penetration is expected to reach 500 million by 2010.
