Country’s leading telecom operator Bharti Airtel on Thursday said it has tied up with mobile maker i-mate to offer its customers the latest smart phone ‘JAMA 101′. Priced at Rs 12,900, the model would be available at all i-mate retail outlets and the subscribers of Airtel will also get additional benefits for data dowload of 50 MB per month the company said in a statement.

“We are delighted to partner with Bharti Airtel for the launch of JAMA 101 which is designed for those wanting an affordable and powerful smartphone for email, web browsing multimedia as well as business needs”

The JAMA 101, powered by the Airtel’s EDGE wireless network, will leverage i-mate unique combination of style, powerful functionalities to redefine the way mobile users stay in touch at times of work or leisure, Bharti Airtel Mobile Services Chief Marketing Officer Sanjay Gupta said.

This model runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system and supports wireless access to email, phone, text messaging, browser, organiser and other mobile applications, the statement added.
