Hungama Mobile wins 2007 Meffys award
Hungama Mobile, a premier mobile entertainment company, headquartered in Mumbai, India. has won the ‘Best Marketing Campaign in Mobile Entertainment’ award organized by the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF), the world’s premier body representing the fast growing US$ 23 billion Mobile Entertainment industry.
The Award (MEFFYS) were given to the CEO of Hungama Mobile, Neeraj Roy at a glittering ceremony at the Grimaldi Center in Monte Carlo, by Patrick Parodi, Chairman of MEF. The award was judged by an eminent panel of judges from the field of entertainment, media and mobile networks for Hungama Mobile’s innovative packaging of mobile entertainment content for the box office hit film Casino Royale and the James Bond franchise from Sony Pictures Television International. This consumer activation was undertaken with Hutch, one of India’s premier GSM mobile operators.
Hungama Mobile picked up this prestigious award, which is a first for an Indian company, at the Monte Carlo event fighting off stiff competition from strong & giant global contenders such as Qwikker, The Hyperfactory, Nokia, and Vibes Media.
For Casino Royale campaign, Hungama Mobile tied up with Hutch for providing mobile entertainment content for all 20 Bond back catalogue movies as well as the most recent-Casino Royale across content categories such as music, imagery, video and games. The exclusive content available also includes ‘The making of’ and ‘Behind the screen’. This association was used to enhance mobile entertainment content consumption among Hutch subscribers and acquire new ones.
